Our Services and Facilities

Seeconnell Private Village has an award-winning purpose-built facility with panoramic views. It Is a beautiful environment to live in and has a dedicated registered manager to oversee the provision of a wide range of services to the residents.

Seeconnell Farm

The therapeutic use of farming practices will aim to enrich daily life of our residents. Plots are available for development by residents under supervision of trained staff.
The Slieve Croob Activity Centre

The activity centre is the social point for daily structured activities pertaining to the individual needs of residents.
Outdoor gym equipment

Our range of outside gym equipment has been specially developed to allow easy access for safe exercise.
Outdoor play area

Outdoor facilities are secure and safe with seating accessible to all residents in the courtyard.
Community based programmes

Seeconnell organise regularly programmes with local colleges, volunteer groups and athletic clubs.
House keeping

Seeconnell will be kept free from offensive odours and suitable arrangements will be made for the safe disposal of general and clinical waste.
Furniture and furnishing provided

All furniture, bedding, soft furnishing and suitable equipment is provided. Residents are permitted to bring their own furniture (must comply with fire safety regulations).
Laundry

Services are available on site at Seeconnell and the cost is included in the normal fees for service.
Dry Cleaning

This service can be provided locally at the normal cost.
Meals

Residents are offered choices each day and special diets will be catered for.
Medical Care

Staff are always on duty to plan and supervise residents care, ensuring the highest standards.
Optician and Dentist visits

These occur regularly although you are free to make appointments outside if you prefer.
Physiotherapy

Appointments are arranged through our local GP after an assessment
Speech and Language Therapy

Appointments are arranged by referral to the South Eastern Trust community S&LT team.
Chiropody

A domiciliary referral can be made to the community chiropodist.
Hairdressing

This service is an additional charge, although patients can go to a hairdresser out of the home.
Telephones

Residents have access to a phone in the reception and personal phones are acceptable.
Administration Support

Residents have access to administration support and letters can be typed by residents if required.
Benefits Advice

Advice can be provided via the Manager or the Home’s Administrator. Information can be obtained about Pension and Social Security Benefits.
Shopping

Where appropriate we encourage residents to go shopping with relatives or staff. Alternatively, we can purchase goods on their behalf within the necessary safeguards.
Kitchen Facilities

Facilities are accessible to residents owing to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Regulations. Residents can provide their own food if deemed reasonable and practicable by support staff.
Transport

Transport is provided by way of bus/ people carrier, we will provide this service at a small charge for any trips that relate to Seeconnell’s day opportunities and internal activities programme.
